Wellspring’s Flintbox Sprint
Wellspring is an organization focused on providing solutions for intellectual property and innovation management. While I lead product design at TXI, they engaged with our agency to explore a new business venture called Flintbox.
Problem
Wellspring had a suite of software solutions that enabled organizations to identify, protect, and develop IP. However, they identified that their market of technology scouts weren’t being served well by their existing products.
Solution
I facilitated a Google Design Sprint with members of Wellspring and our team to help the organization rapidly improve its understanding of the market for Flintbox. During the Sprint, we interviewed subject matter experts, rapidly prototyped, and tested our potential solution with technology scouts.
Impact
Our Sprint was incredibly impactful for Wellspring’s business. We found a number of additional considerations the product needed to address but, most importantly, the technology scout’s shared a lot of enthusiasm for Flintbox. As a result of our work, Wellspring continued to develop the product. It now serves more than 10,000 technology scouts.
