Zeke Binion

Simple Counter App

One of the most common questions I’ve gotten throughout my career goes something like … “You say that you can design and code, but which one are you actually good at?”

Although it’s a brutal question, I get it. There aren’t very many people who are t-shaped and go as deeply into many areas of product as I’ve done. My college path also wasn’t in engineering (it wasn’t HCI either). Describing myself as “self-taught” isn’t accurate. I’ve had many mentors, co-workers, courses, tutorials, and books to help grow my engineering skills, but those things don’t show up on a résumé.

Inspired by Eric Elliot’s “10 Interview Questions Every JavaScript Developer Should Know,” I made a straightforward app that tracks how many times the user has activated a button during their current visit. It’s not enough to fully convey my technical expertise, but it’s a good start.
