Overview
Inventables, a company that makes desktop CNC machines and supporting software, partnered with content influencers by developing an affiliate marking program. I was brought in to design and develop the landing page experience that would enable the influencer’s users to take advantage of the promotional offerring.
The client was happy with the original work. However, I decided to revisit and redesign it as a personal challenge.

- Clarify Inventables’ value proposition for new visitors unfamiliar with the brand
- Make the offer compelling and easy to act on, with well-defined calls to action
- Improve visual hierarchy and readability, with emphasis on typography improvements
Redesigned Landing Page

Clarify Inventables’ value proposition
This revised mock-up rebalances the the influencer’s offer and the client’s value proposition. The “about Inventables” section that was below the fold in the previous design is now blended into the hero with the special offer to the influencer’s fans.
Make the offer compelling and easy to act on
The original CTA (“Accept Homemade Modern’s Offer”) was too wordy, ambiguious, and somewhat difficult to perceive as a button. The last point was in-part due to the visual standards established on the Inventables website at the time. However, I saw to opportunity to make the buttons visually stand out and segment its action into 2 different paths.
- “Get Free Shipping” — Initiates the purchase flow with the offer pre-applied.
- “Save for Later” — Triggers a modal to collect the visitor’s email and stores the offer.
Improve visual hierarchy and readability
- Typography: Adjusted font weights, line heights, and spacing for better clarity
- Number Styling: Switched to proportional lining numbers glyphs for better visual consistency in project stats
- CTA Design: Softened button shapes, adjusted padding, and used bolder styling to ensure clickability
- Color Palette: Introduced a teal accent to complement Inventables’ brand orange and improve CTA visibility
Reflections
This project reinforced the importance of designing with context in mind. In this case, visitors arriving from influencer content on YouTube, Instagram, or blogs need clear reinforcement that they’ve landed on their influencer’s page. However,the page itself needed to reintroduce the brand, establish trust, and guide visitors to action.
